His incredible talent was known to everyone who ever heard him play.
He was a Great Husband, Father, Grandpa, Son, and of course the finest brother anyone could ask for.
Dave touched more lives through his unselfish love, honesty, true concern, and his caring for others
than anyone I've ever known. His many silent successes spoke loud to the many of us who were
fortunate enough to know him. He will always be missed but never ever forgotten.

I Love You Dave More than anything and always will.. Always.

My wedding day and my best man, best friend...my brother, on top of Pilot Mountain in North Carolina.
There's simply no words to explain what Dave meant to me as a brother and someone I always wanted to be like.

No matter how long I live, I'll never die being half the man he lived to be.

2 Years Later...

The following pictures were taken in the exact location (Fairfield Causeway) where my Brother was found.
They were taken March 4th, exactly one year after his death.
(3 days before what now would have been his 61st birthday, March 7th)

We held a candle light vigil in his honor.

3 Years Later...

The weekend of March 5th and 6th, a friend and I took a drive back to Brookeville Lake. We drove around a bit and while crossing the Causeway for the last time, I got out and asked for some time. While I stood there on the bridge, I couldn't help but to reflect back on growing up with such a great brother. The good things and bad. And there's just some things only brothers know between them. I expect sisters are the same way. Looking out over the beautiful lake, the thought came to me that, most people take a lot for granted until you grow old enough to see and understand what's right, and wrong. And, who's good and who's not so good in their own way.

Those who realize so many of these things, rarely talk about them.
There's no need to. They just know.
And that's good enough for them.

I'm not sure how long I stood there thinking and wishing he was there next to me. And to this day I have no understanding why bad things happen to great people. I just don't understand. I don't think anyone does. After a lot of crying and darkness falling, I noticed my friend slowly driving up to get me. We drove back to Ohio before either of us said anything.

..I'll Always Love You Brother..
                                                                                                     Love,
                                                                                                                          -Darrell

I want to thank Tom & Debbie Gentry for leaving the nice flowers in Dave's memory.
Tom & Debbie have been friends with Dave & Pam for well over 40 years. They had planned
to make it to the vigil but due to sickness, were unable to. Their thoughts are what
counts. Thank you both so much for your understanding, love and thoughtfulness, and
for paying your respects for Dave, such a fine person, even during your sickness.

My life has been changed...forever. I've still not found any words or thoughts to express or help
me with the pain and emptiness since Dave is gone, and knowing we'll
never see one another again.

I don't feel I'll ever be able to do commercial Web Sites again.
